The Squirrel Hill Urban Coalition (SHUC) is a non-profit community organization dedicated to preserving, improving and celebrating the quality of life in Pittsburgh’s 14th Ward.
SHUC has created a neighborhood Bicycle-Pedestrian Committee to ensure that our streets, sidewalks, and paths are safe and mutually respectful, with enhanced visibility, for all users – pedestrians, bicyclists, and motorists. We also want to ensure that Squirrel Hill is an integral participant, along with the Greater Pittsburgh bicycling-pedestrian community, in all planning and policy considerations regarding street safety and usage by authorities in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, and the region.
This is a project of the Bicycle-Pedestrian Committee, serving the committee’s mission by providing a vision for bicycle transportation routes in our neighborhood. Contact the project at email@example.com
The project members are bicyclists with extensive knowledge of local bicycling conditions in the area:
Marshall Hershberg (Chairman of SHUC Bicycle-Pedestrian Committee)
Richard Feder (President of Squirrel Hill Urban Coalition)
Mary Shaw (map wrangler)
Roy Weil (web wrangler)
